An Index to some of the Marriage Licenses registered in the Hughes County Courthouse located in Holdenville, Oklahoma. The names listed have been copied as they are posted in the Index Books, and some may not have been transcribed correctly to the Book, as some handwritten signatures on licenses are hard to read correctly, or the clerk entering the names spelled them as they heard them. In some cases you might check other spellings of a surname. An example would be McCourry-McCurry. The two columns after the date are the Book Number and the Page of the Book.
Listings will be posted under the headings Groom and Bride and will be separated alphabetically.
I recently completed indexing the letter W in the Groom Index. All Grooms have been listed now for letters A-W. There are 15,496 marriage records in the database.
